Way back when I first launched a website to share my creations, I called it Three Wooden Pigeons. At the time—during art school—it perfectly represented the three main creative areas I wanted to focus on: art, photography, and writing.
Eventually, as I transitioned fully into tech, I moved away from that creative identity and changed my website to something more professional (that whole journey is a story for another day!). But now that I’m refocusing on creativity and art, it feels like the perfect time to bring back Three Wooden Pigeons.
The name itself came from an old summer camp songbook I used to flip through periodically when looking for inspiration. I never actually knew the song, but the name stuck with me—I loved its quirky, playful feel. Back then, it also reflected how I struggled to stick to just one creative focus. (Not that I am any better at focusing now…)
Returning to this name feels like a full-circle moment—a reconnection with the creativity and fun that originally inspired me. It’s also completely reignited my motivation to build a new website. I hadn’t created a proper portfolio in years, and honestly, I’d started to lose my sense of joy in web design.
But the moment I decided to bring back Three Wooden Pigeons, the ideas started flowing. And by “flowing,” I mean full fire-hose mode—a complete flood of inspiration.
I can’t wait to bring this vision to life and reconnect my creativity with my love for the web.
